About Speaker
Originally having a law enforcement background Danny worked for the Amsterdam city Police and the Dutch National Crime Squad (organized crime and war crimes division) for a total of 14 years. In 2006 Danny moved to the banking sector where he worked in different managerial roles but always with a security- and crisis focus. Working for a large international bank Danny led the integrated Security & Resilience function for the EMEA region but was responsible for supply chain management and real estate. The present age asks for new ways of looking at security, continuity and leadership capabilities triggering Danny to move to Deloitte in 2018. Currently he is one of the Resilience and Crisis leaders for Deloitte. He and his team help clients in the public- and private sector to deal with the challenges around becoming resilient to high impact events and disruptions. The Resilience, Crisis and Reputation does so by focusing on three strategic pillars being Safety & Security, Societal Resilience & Critical Infrastructure and Reputation & Trust. Next to his work for Deloitte Danny is a frequent speaker at conferences and is lecturer at different universities on the topics of crisis- and business continuity management. He holds and MBA and followed the Harvard leadership in Crisis program.
