Geneviève LeclercCo-founder and CEO#Meet4Impact
Geneviève has over 25 years of global experience in congress management and strategic consultancy for associations and destinations. She works as a content curator, facilitator, speaker and trainer with the association meetings and business tourism industry and is specialized in sustainability and social impact practices. Geneviève is passionate about applying design thinking practices to accompany organizations through innovation. She has founded her current organization, #MEET4IMPACT, in 2019 with the vision of transforming the business tourism industry by generating a movement to create positive societal impact with its actors and their events. #MEET4IMPACT trains professionals and supports DMOs and their association clients in defining, managing, measuring and communicating the societal impacts of their activities. Geneviève has developed an “impact masterclass” for the industry and has co-created the “BE Impactful Framework”, which offers a systematic process for measuring the positive impacts of events. She is also an association executive, acting as Managing Director of the International Society of Limnology since 2018. When not at work, Geneviève is enjoying the great outdoors, sharing happy meals with friends or sailing the seas.
Mohamed MezghaniSecretary GeneralInternational Association of Public Transport (UITP)
Mohamed Mezghani has been working for 30 years in an international and multidisciplinary context of which more than 20 years in the association’s field. He is the Secretary General of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) since 1/01/2018, and Vice-President of the European Society of Association Executives (ESAE). He has been Deputy Secretary General of UITP from January 2014 to December 2017. Mohamed managed and led numerous membership-related services including knowledge-related activities for UITP members: professional training, research projects, thematic studies, technical advice, conferences, networking activities, information centre, etc. He has led many initiatives including advocacy activities, studies, technical assistance, educational and professional events in more than 70 countries on all continents, engaging with international organisations, government officials, mobility professionals and academia. Mohamed holds a degree in Industrial Engineering (1987) and obtained a Masters in Transport (1988).
Philip K. BellPresidentSteel Manufacturers Association (SMA)
Philip K. Bell is President of the U.S.-based Steel Manufacturers Association (SMA). Prior to the SMA, Phil served as Director of External Communications and Public Affairs for Brazilian steel producer Gerdau. He is a 30-year manufacturing industry veteran, who has held executive-level positions with SGL Carbon, and Elementis Specialty Chemicals. He serves on the U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Advisory Committee for Steel (ITAC 11), advising cabinet level officials on trade related matters that benefit the U.S. economy. He is a member of the U.S. delegation to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Steel Committee in Paris. Phil shares insights on sustainable steelmaking and trade policy throughout the Americas, Asia and Europe. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Bloomberg, and NPR Market Watch. He is on the board of directors of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the board of advisors of the Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA) and a founding member of the Global Steel Climate Council (GSCC). He holds an MA in Global Strategic Communications from the University of Florida. Outside of work, Phil enjoys kayaking, fishing, international travel and time with his family.
