Tracy Bury has over 25 years’ experience in the professional association sector. As Deputy Chief Executive at the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) her responsibilities include the WCPT Congress, advocacy, policy, communities of practice and external relations. She is a firm believer in the power of conferences to deliver change and the responsibility that comes with that to make a lasting difference.

Tracy qualified as a physiotherapist and after working clinically moved into research and policy. Her research and professional interests include evidence based practice, health policy, global health and professional issues. She has presented and published both nationally and internationally, as well as serving as a journal editor and contributing to research committees, awards panels and advisory boards. Tracy is President-Elect of the Association Conference Forum.

The United Nations have dedicated one of their sustainable development goals to partnership building (Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals), aiming to “Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development”.  In this session we will hear case-studies from different associations and foundations who, through global multi-stakeholder collaboration projects, have leveraged partnership-building as an overarching framework to shape, steer and implement their strategies, allowing them to maximize their impact and capitalize on a range of benefits.
