As the Global Vice President of Association Management & Consulting for the MCI Group, Nikki Walker is responsible for defining and implementing the extensive service and consulting solutions MCI provides to associations from its global infrastructure of 60 offices in 31 countries offices located in all 6 continents. As such she oversees MCI’s regional hubs in Brussels, Dubai, Singapore, Washington, DC and Buenos Aires serving Europe, Middle East, Asia and North and Latin America, respectively, as well as many national offices and markets, providing strategy, management and leadership to MCI’s clients and professional association staff. Prior to her promotion as Global Vice President in 2009, Nikki served as Managing Director of the MCI Brussels office (headquarters to many associations) heading a team of some 100 association, communications and event management professionals from 21 countries speaking 23 languages. To further support MCI’s clients’ global growth into emerging markets, Nikki moved her global HQ presence to Dubai at the end of 2011.
For the last 20 years since joining MCI, Nikki has focused on helping international professional associations design their global strategy, penetrate and succeed in new markets and develop relevant value propositions around the world. She has extensive association management and consulting experience having served as Executive Director for several associations under MCI’s management including the European Society of Association Executives. She has assisted several international associations with enhancements to their organizational performance and regularly conducts consulting projects from strategy development and market research to board retreats, audits, environmental scans and business planning for associations across a variety of business sectors and industries. Nikki travels extensively and is a frequent speaker at industry events around the world addressing audiences of association executives on subjects such as trends affecting associations, future oriented and innovative strategies and management techniques.
